Death with 'The Mind Guy' #29

Konnichi wa players and blessings upon you and yours today and tomorrow too. As I'm dishing out blessings I may as well be generous so lets say a blessing upon you eternally. How about that eh... Pretty generous I hope you'll agree.... 

 

This week on the 'padcast' The Mind Guy returns to the stage with his usual acerbic wit and with a pinch of the ridiculousness. He is the perfect human to discus this weeks padcast topic death. He is however not the perfect human to discuss trending topics such as Bill Cosby & Love Island as you will no doubt agree after listening to his quite astonishing claim with the former. 

Here are some questions that were posed and I like to categorically state right now for the record that they were all answered with not a jot of any real insight but with conviction nonetheless.  

 

How many humans die a day?

Are jellyfish really immortal?

How would you like to die?

What is the worst way to die?

How do you see your funeral playing out? 

When you die... Is it the end or is it the beginning?

Good day to you players... This week on the 'padcast' we step into my doleroen and type the coordinates to take us back to the past with the final destination being now. Understand? Yeah its a bit confusing but don't worry I know what I'm doing.... I think. 

The years are visited through hand written diary entries I have made from the year 1994 to 2019... This was a very interesting but ultimately cringe inducing episode to make but Im glad I did it.

Lies...… with Dominic McHale #27

Welcome back players and boy do I have a whopper of an episode for your beautiful ocular cavities. This week, Mr Dominic McHale makes his solo debut on the 'padcast' and without getting too carried away it just might possibly be the greatest podcast of all time.... Okay there might be a little over exuberance in that last sentence but hey that's my job! What you want me to say?!?

Anyway I had a format for this conversation. I knew what I wanted us to talk about and I had it all planed out nothing could get in my way. The only thing I hadn't banked on was McHale and his impressive knowledge on everything from the Pennsylvania Dutch/Deutsch to the his abhorrent dislike of lies. Lets just say this padcast had a destination but it never arrived it was derailed and a whole new adventure was had.

Saipan..... with Dominic McHale and Tadhg Hickey #26.

 Dear players I hope I find you well. Succulent even. I don't know why I would like to be succulent myself but I venture to say it may not be too bad a way to find oneself...….. This week on the 'padcast' I sat down to chat with two of my regular padcasters Dominic & Tadhg and as per usual it became a tremendous afternoon of madness disguised as conversation.

In opening sequence Dom is extraordinary cordial and refrains  from eating (a first from the Giant of Blackrock) and while it was appreciated I felt a bit of food could have made it a better podcast. So, Dom if you're reading this feel free to munch on with impunity going forward.... I know he wont read this but, you know, the message may get to him eventually and I want to cover my back.... Anyway all the while Tadhg the working class socialist (who see himself as a representative of  middle class of the lower classes), pimps out his patreon and waxes lyrically on topics such as politics, football and er his patreon.  All the while I'm feeling great to just be away from my wife and kids so this fresh hell is actually heaven to me.  Strap in and enjoy.... Frank: Hello Frank here, this weeks episode is extremely confusing. MacHale shows his distain right from the start by having his lunch during the episode and promptly announced he'd be opting out until he was finished his cheese and crackers. It seems when it comes to this padcast MacHale is just toying with us for his own amusement like a cat with a half dead mouse who's fate has long been sealed. Hickey, is not much better as his acerbic jabs at MacHale only add petrol to the volcano that is just waiting to erupt. But does it erupt? You'll have to tune in and see...

Fatherhood with Bernard Casey

'Jambo' players and welcome back to another episode of 'Conversations with Cornelius' a padcast that has been hailed as 'A must not listen to' by all discerning eighteen century poets. Jambo, for those of you who don't know, is a Swahili greeting meaning Hello.... I'm not certain there are any listeners to the padcast in Uganda, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania or Kenya but I'm not willing to take that chance. This is an all inclusive 'padcast' so Jambo to one and to all.

 

This week on the pad we are joined by regular contributor, hilarious comedian and actor Bernard Casey. Our topic of conversation revolves mainly around the broad topic of fatherhood. Is Colin Murphy Superman? #21

Top o' the morning to you 'padcasters' (I realise it may not be morning when you see this but hey Im silly like that sometimes).

In this weeks 'padcast' I go on what can only be described as a fascinating deep dive into the life of serial entrepreneur and former professional sports star Colin Murphy. From his humble beginnings with the Clonakilty Under 10's GAA football team straight through to his professional rugby career and onto his Iron Man Austrian experience. Falling in love and into his Spanish sojourn followed finally to the return to his roots and his passion for business. Its a twisty turnery episode with lots of laughter and some moments of pure depth. I loved every second of it.

Enjoy with a warm beverage or a cold beverage or no beverage.... basically beverages are optional.
